Dear CIS Member Organizations, Universities and Colleges, Enterprises, Public Institutions, and Other Relevant Organizations:

To advance China’s efforts to strengthen education and develop a strong talent base, and in alignment with the development priorities of the instrumentation industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the China Instrument and Control Society (CIS) will convene the 2026 CIS Vocational Education Conference.

The Conference aims to support the development of new quality productive forces, respond to AI-driven transformation and the evolving needs of future industries, foster a new generation of highly skilled technical professionals for the instrumentation industry, and provide a platform for collaboration and exchange among government agencies, educational institutions, industry organizations, and enterprises.

It will be held concurrently with the 5th National Vocational Skills Competition for the Instrumentation Industry in 2026. Details are as follows:

I. Conference Theme

Supporting the Instrumentation Industry under the 15th Five-Year Plan and Developing Future-Ready Technical and Skilled Talent.

Venue: Chongqing Industry Polytechnic University (Liangjiang Campus), Chongqing, China

IV. Participants

(1) Officials and representatives from relevant central government ministries and industry authorities;

(2) Leaders and representatives from enterprises, public institutions, research institutes, universities, vocational colleges, technical colleges, and other relevant organizations;

(3) Experts from leading instrumentation enterprises and the nuclear power and aerospace sectors;

(4) Nationally recognized master craftsmen and representatives of highly skilled industry professionals.

V. Main Program

(1) Policy briefing by relevant central government authorities on plans and policies for the high-quality development of the instrumentation industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period;

(2) Sharing of entrepreneurship policies and opportunities for young talent from China and Arab countries;

(3) Discussion on talent development models for the instrumentation industry in the AI era;

(4) Exchange on talent demand and talent development for instrumentation-related roles in the nuclear power sector;

(5) Future industries: exchange on talent development for commercial spaceflight sensors and space measurement and control instrumentation;

(6) Release of national occupational standards and related outcomes, high-level roundtable discussions, and other activities.
